Islam reached West Africa before Christianity reached some parts of Northern Europe. Bro.

I read all that over the last few hours (they’re big pages). It’s 2:33am but I’m not even mad because this is mad interesting stuff!

My goodness. If Christianity and its several schisms weren't convoluted enough. It's even more complicated in Africa.

Really enjoyed the final discussion and commentary about race in Egypt at the end of Chapter 5.

Looking forward to the next chapter about Egypt, Carthage and Nubia. So far the book has been about pre-historic Africa. The more established societies are what I'm looking forward to more.
