The way he writes.
And its almost like you know what will happen,
yet you stick to this journey with him and his placing of words and the psyche of it all.
What do you not have up your sleeve, Mr. Dostoyevsky?

The tension. The drama. Goodness. But something terribly wrong for him to write somethings, but I guess he was writing for a character, and we know the tyranny of it all anyways.

the fact that Dostoyevsky himself gave me a sign to live like was this a sign?? because it has got to be; I definely read this in the right time of my life and it definitely was not just a confidence...I can relate to the "madman" a lot but most of all, I just really loved the writing and the philosophical musings in there as well as the psychological elements...

i can't compare it to White Nights; i am not a religious person but it would be a sin to compare it to White Nights; they are both so different and so wholly glorious in all the glory ahhhhhhhhh....
obviously I will reread it as I was kinda half-asleep at one point and was not really alert for most of it except for the last 3 or so pages....anyhow it is still just so uhhghbxxxxx hopeful?? nah idk
