So many fax references! And no climate change? Liked the Ear to amplify sound but not the baseball story.

I read this in the early 90s on a family vacation on the beach and thought it would be neat to save it for 50 years and read it again in 2041. It’s been 33 years since it was published. I still vividly remember the storylines of Shakespeare censorship and the free food/slim-down machines/fat harvesting aliens. Just a dime store novel but made an impact/felt like a warning. And a lot of it is true or truer somehow.
