Done with the section on silents. Knowing Hitchcock didn't think much of his silent output makes me feel less bad about not being super into them. However, as much as he advocates for a pure cinema of visuals and montage, Hitchcock underestimates how much dialogue will give personality to his films.

I had either forgotten or never knew that Hitchcock was raised Catholic, which seems bonkers given how much guilt factors into his films.
