...this before but there are just some poets that click with you in a way others don't and just feel like a true reflection of your soul, and Sylvia Plath is that for me. I am constantly amazed and in awe of her beautiful writing that seems almost familiar to me

Wow just so incredible. You can see through her poems her descent into her deepest depression before her suicide and reading the poems from that year and the year before felt very chilling. Daddy is such an amazing poem it's actually stunning and Lady Lazarus as well (obviously they are popular for a reason and there are many other incredible ones as well but those are well known and very good). ...of incredible work very soon before her suicide. Overall I am enjoying the poems even more as time progresses (which corresponds with more depression and hopelessness...) I also really enjoyed Tulips which makes me think that I'm just overall a fan of longer poems. If they're too short and snappy it's harder for me to get the full effect, I enjoy drawn out colorful language and the true full imagery

I just read Three Women, that is definitely one of my favorite poems so far. I think it's showing three women at different stages in their life, all of which are obviously dealing with depression or some other mental issue. I'm onto 1962, the year before she died, and I've heard this is the most impressive year for her poetry as she had a creative bout in the month of October and produced an extraordinary amount...
