Current car ride listen. I have learned that the literal crabby nature of the language surrounding cancer can be sourced back to Hippocrates’s first description of a probable malignant tumor. I have been fascinated by the political history of cancer as a disease and its cure, and how there was once a time when major publications would not circulate articles about it because of concern for public decency.

I like the style, it’s a crazy consortium of several efforts across the world that try to tackle the battle against a ruthless disease(s)

Picked this up originally because I thought it would be useful reading for my new job, but I've kept reading because it's just that interesting. Honestly not all that informative for my current research specifically, but completely fascinating and makes me appreciate where cancer research is in this modern moment, given how abysmal its state was even 30 years ago.
