Thought I would be brushing up on my C++ next, but looks like I'm going the embedded C route instead.

Stroustrup's habit of ending sentences with prepositions makes some parts of this text difficult to understand. It's better now than it was earlier, but still some of his sentences are incomplete because of this.

Chapter 10 makes my head hurt.

It is slow going as I mainly read it on the bus when I can't hear the audiobook I listen to when I'm walking. However, almost every time I do read it, I come away with new insights.

In general: To write a good program takes intelligence, taste, and patience. You are not going to get
it right the first time. Experiment!

Much better writing and organization so far than 3/E.

Already more engaging than the ECMA-262 Language Specification!
