Slightly tipsy but wondering if the constant references to poetry and the classics would be as annoying back then as references to Tumblr posts are to us now.
Also I do recommend experiencing Dunnett after one cocktail.

And here we go again.
Whenever I feel like learning a new language I crack up this book so I can be humbled about my ability to understand *fucking English* in the first place.

There’s a clever, spunky redheaded blind woman named Christian Stewart and I keep reading her as “Kristen Stewart” which brings an entirely different picture to mind.

The cover of this book says “Lymond is arguably the perfect romantic hero.” So far this romantic hero has endeared himself to us by getting a pig drunk, stealing from a smuggler, stabbing a pregnant lady in the shoulder, stealing from his own mother, making pervy statements to his sister-in-law, and setting on fire a castle full of women. Slow burn? 😅
