At first I was a little disoriented from the lack of info and everything being thrown at me until I found out this is a second book. As of now the book seems to be pretty good for a crime/thriller

I forgot about the layers of the main character's life - should have started reading book 2 a while ago.

I'm enjoying the book but am concerned that so much SMIRKING goes on among the police officers of Glasgow. I assume the high level of SMIRKING incidents is intentional and designed to portray Glaswegian bobbies in a certain light? What do other readers think?

Giving Alex Morrow another chance

I'm happy that the book isn't going exactly as planned. Keeps me on my toes. Will they catch the killer? But at the same time it annoys me because I know who did it... So will they? Will they catch him??

Loving it so far. Thomas is fucked though...

She keeps doing flashbacks, but the way she writes makes it difficult to know its a flashback until you're 2 paragraphs in. Very confusing.

I really like this author.

This is the third book by Denise Mina that I've read this month in at first i didn't like it that much but it really picks up

enjoying it so far..not a huge fan of books with profanity but its not distracting. I didnt realize it was number 2 in the series but I am looking forward to the rest of the book. I also like the way this author writes..adding her to my list of authors ..
