چشمِ اقوام یہ نظّارہ ابد تک دیکھے
رفعتِ شانِ "رَفَعْنَا لَکَ ذِکْرَکْ" دیکھے

Let all the people on the earth,
See till the eternal time.
And testify our saying,
We have made thy name sublime!.

مثلِ بو قید ہے غنچے میں، پریشاں ہو جا
رختِ بردوش ہوائے چمنستاں ہو جا

Thou art like scent in the bud,
Disperse thyself: get release.
Load thy pack upon thy shoulder
Fan the meadow with thy breeze.

ہے تنک مایہ تو ذرے سے بیاباں ہو جا
نغمۂ موج سے ہنگامۂ طوفاں ہو جا

From dusty speck, to infinite
Vastness let it increase.
From gentle wave, a tempest grow
The roaring of the seas!

وقتِ فرصت ہے کہاں، کام ابھی باقی ہے
نورِ توحید کا اِتتمام ابھی باقی ہے

There's no spell for idle rest,
Much still remains to be done;
Thou have yet to strew "Tawhid" ,
The shout that, "God is one" !

رنگ گردوں کا ذرا دیکھ تو عُنّابی ہے
یہ نکلتے ہوئے سورج کی اُفق تابی ہے

Look upon the deep vermilion
Brightening the eastern skies,
The glow on yonder horizon's brow,
Heralds a new sunrise.

عجمی خم ہے تو کیا، مے تو حجازی ہے میری
نغمہء ہندی ہے، تو کیا، لے تو حجازی ہے میری

The jar I posses be "Ajami"
The wine from "Hijaz" I serve.
What if the song is from "India"
The "Hijazi" is it's verve.

آج کیوں سینے ہمارے شرر آباد نہیں
ہم وہی سوختہ ساماں ہیں، تُجھے یاد نہیں؟

Ah, why today in our numbered hearts,
The sparks doesn't glow at all?
Still are we, that inflammable stuff,
Have Thou slighted all?

!تم مسلماں ہو! یہ اندازِ مسلمانی ہے

Are thyself the muslims
Is this, the Muslims way of life?

تمہی کہ دو، یہی آئین وفاداری ہے؟

Is this the way of faithfulness?

پھر بھی ہم سے یہ گلا ہے کہ وفادار نہیں
!ہم وفادار نہیں، تو بھی تو دل دار نہیں

Even so, Thou have accused
We have lurked, the ardent's part,
If unfaithful, we have been,
Did Thou have won our heart?


Even if we say this, we know it's OUR FAULT 💔😭
