Status Updates From The Favored Queen

So far this has been almost entirely about Anne Boleyn. I'm not quite sure when we're going to get to the, "Favored Queen" bit.

picking it back up​ after a quick unplanned siesta. this is enjoyable Tudor fiction. loving the narration from Jane Seymour's point of view .

It's a good thing I'm listening to this on audio while falling asleep at night. Even through a haze of fatigue, I've noted several historical inaccuracies, not to mention internal contradictions in the narrative. (Did the baby live for an hour and then die, or was it stillborn? Both are said of the same baby.) But it's still interesting enough to fall asleep to at night.

I hate not finishing books but this is painful to read.

did she just have sex with a complete stranger while engaged? yes, she did. ugh this book is terrible.

Was enjoying this until the author turned Jane Seymour into a slut.

Yeah, i'm going to be finishing this today. Total page turner!

So far all the book has talked about was Queen Catherine and Anne Boleyn, never really about Jane as Queen, which I am hoping for still. I'm on chapter 21 and Henry is trying to get rid of his 2nd wife Anne.

At the part where Anne Boleyn has borne a daughter Elizabeth I and Henry VIII is slowly tiring of Anne. Now, Its getting good.

Its getting good so far, is sad how Catherine of Aragon lost her son, now Henry VIII plans to make his illegitimate son a high up Duke, kinda heartless after this wife just lost their son. Now poor Jane can't marry Will Dormer cus of her father sleeping around. :(

Descobri algo que me irrita mais do que traduzirem os nomes de todas as personagens: traduzirem o nome de metade das personagens -.-''

I'm sorry, but I can't read anymore of this. Nearly every scene contains information that is absolutely not true. Based on nasty rumors, for example, that Henry had sex with all the Boleyn women, mother included.

This isn't what I expected. I thought this would be about Jane. But it isn't her story. It's a tabloid book of false tales!!!

None of this is true! lol.

This book has received much negative attention bc the author strays from fact so often.

While it is an interesting "fiction" book, and I look forward to finishing it, the story is more often than not fictitious.

Really good so far.

This book is terrible!! Now I'm finishing it just to see how more absolute BS the author can shovel in. It's like someone challenged her or something. Really sad, seeing as Caroly Erickson wrote some really good Tudor non-fiction back in the day.

I enjoyed this book but at one point I began to notice a lot of license being taken with the history on a character I'd never heard of and Jane's personality seemed wrong.

ugh...work is really cutting into my reading!!! Hello weekend! :D
