Status Updates From Trompe-l'oeil

This book seems so pretentious. Chapter 2 was a serendipity type meeting between the 2 Main characters? What bosh!! I'm so close to DNF -ing this one. I'm switching to a new one in between. Sue Duff seems much more interesting.

What the heck was Chapter 1? An absolute mesh of words that didn't make too much sense? Riddles everywhere. Both characters speak in riddles. A tad irritating for the first chapter

I'm gonna mark this as DNF. Y'all, if you like great literature and excellent writing, please give this a try. Just wasn't for me.

The writing is beautiful, but sadly, I do not not feel drawn to the character nor the story.

This must be read slowly and carefully and patiently. That's not the kind of reader I am. :(

The prose is magnificent. This is a thinking person's book.

Bored...
