I read this book as a kid in 8th grade. I bought it from the book fair, and I wanted to read it one last time before I donated it. It’s not a great book, but it is also not a terrible book.

So far I like the main character Stephen I love his whole trying to do everything by himself and with no one’s help and remembering what his grandfather taught him and his dad. I don’t know how to feel about Jenny I see how she and Stephen are quite a bit alike however I feel as if she’s too wild and impulsive

Stephen; because he's the main character and the adventure follows him in the story.

My book got its title because it is the world after the "eleventh plague"

...I just picked this up on Scribd and it was a nice shorter story to listen to while doing things. Stories this length always feel a little short to me based on what I normally read. But other than that...I did enjoy the story.
Though, I've noticed since the pandemic I seem to be picking up stories about plagues/pandemics/ect more frequently.

There was a pandemic in the book which I connect to because it was similar to covid

There was a flash of lightning and thunder that made both of us jump, and the rain seemed to double in power in an instant.

They main character meets a group of people but they want to help him and his dad instead of hurt them or rob them. I think the main character should have let them help him instead of declining their offer. I think the main character will change his mind and follow them.

The character is dealing with a loss of a family member like i did except it was my dad not my grandpa. The situation was handled ok to me. I think that they are going to kill some slavers that have some hostages then they will let the hostages go. This relates to the time where hitler was captivating jewish people.

Have to admit , it’s not the best book I’ve ever read . The story so far is weak and I’m not feeling connected to any of the characters . I feel like it has the potential to be something more, right now it feels like a basic tv show plot of an apocalypse
I’m hoping it picks up soon, there’s not a lot of anything going on at the moment
