I guess its an alright book if you like a bit of action and despair, filled with adventure.

His grandfather dying, because he was the one who usually helped Steve with everything. And now that he is gone, I don't know if either Steve will be able to cope with out him, or even live in the post-apocalyptic world that they are all forced to live in together. It was definitely a very important thing to happen so early on in the series.

Plot sort of lurches. Not enough of some things are explained. But then again, there are some slow moments. Curious book.

It's finally picking up & I am enjoying the book. Nothing too much has gone on but I get the feeling something will be happening very soon. Ok so far-not great-but holds my interest enough to continue to read.

I can't stress enough how much I love this plot! It's a great concept and the setting is laid out so brilliantly! My only issue right now is the characters! There are too many!!! Almost each chapter someone new is there and it is making me very confused on who is who! The main character is such a strong character I can feel it but the author has to do a better job at bringing this out in the writing!

The Plague itself is a symbol because it reflects destruction and divides the world and many different ways

Wow! Just when I thought I was getting tired of dystopians! This book is a huge shock to me. I didn't think I was really going to like it that much. But I just had to pick it up! There is always those books that pull you up out of your slumps and usually for me those are uplifting contemporaries, or a nice re-read. Never a dystopian! But this book was successful at pulling me out of my reading slump!

A 15 year old boy named Stephen and his father had just buried his grandfather. Him and his father are trying to survive a seemingly apocalyptic setting. Fever has swept throughout the entire US. Stephen and his father are struggling to survive, using everything they can. When they run into an old abandoned plane, they go inside and explore. They find some food, but when they are leaving they see slavers, and flee.
