Status Updates From The Eleventh Plague

Been wanting to read this for a whiiiiile now. Starting off very good =)

Stephen's dad goes into a coma because he fell down a hill while trying to save some slaves. While Stephen is treating his dad, traders came by and were about to see a doctor so Stephen goes with them.

So far I'm on chapter 5 and the book get really good, so Stephen and his dad stumble upon a crashed plane and while they are looting it for supplies to trade for blanket bullets or whatever that can help them. But them they run into two slavers with two slaves. So Stephens dad try's freeing the slaves while the slavers where asleep, so Stephens dad try's getting the keyS for the slavers car but then they wake up.

Stephen now goes to school in a safe small town. He lives with the Greens who take care of his dad. One day, Stephen and Jenny (adopted Asian child of the Greens) get into a fight with Will and Stephen gets close to getting kicked out of the town. He has two strikes so far....

Ugh I tried to get through this book and just couldn't read anymore. It felt more like a children's book than a YA book.

Stephen and his father freed the slaves and the slaves drove off in the slaveholders' jeep. Stephen and his dad ran until they lost the slavers in the rain. A heavy flow a water suddenly knocked his dad unconscious as Stephen and his dad were swept up by a monsoon of water. Stephen got his dad to shore but can't tell if he is alive or not. I wonder what will happen....

Stephen and his father finish burying his grandpa and they both find a plane crash with some fresh peaches in it.

Just not captivating me. Or entertaining me. Could be my mood and the fact that I need to take a break from the post-apoc genre. Off you go, back tot the TBR shelf.

I'm kinda bored, and at first I wasn't sure if it was this book, or my mood having just finished the made-of-awesome Gone! And now I think I'm just finally burned out with the dystopian/post-apoc genre. As in over it. Every book seems the same. I wonder if others feel this way.

Stephen and his father are hiding in a destroyed airplane when these people come by during a rain storm and stay in their as well. Stephen and his father are trying to stay unnoticed because there are two people chained up but they want to try to help them escape. It is hard to keep track of this book since I'm reading two books at once....

Chapter 21" Look like you saw last night, I'm kind of a tactical genius." I think i am....sort of

Chapter 16" Mr. Krycheck used to be a soldier, but all he did was drink by the time he got here. He hid it pretty while when he got here, but it got worse. One night he wa drinking out in the woods and tried to build a fire. It got out of control and got within a few feet of spreading to the houses." I learned two thing while reading this a) dont get drunk in the woods and b) dont build a fire while drunk

Chapter 16" If you keep to one path, poeple can predict it. Set ambushes" Smart person

17 pages in and there's world building! I kid not, actual. World. Buiilding in a YA post-apocalyptic novel. I'm utterly shocked, in a good way of course. I'm about ready to just call it a day and give this book 5 stars.

I like it a lot so far. It's sad that it has such a low rating when it's actually really good.

Chapter 5" The idea of Paolo lost, hoping to find me and dad, made me feel like I was drowning" All that over a donkey....

Chapter 4"Wait!' I screamed. But the woman didn't even lok back as she and the boy took off" Wow AFTER they saved the woman she keft them in the dust

kind of world is this!?!?! they sleeping men?

so far its really good the plot the charatcer the desction of every detail in the book i love it

I like Jenny's character...little spitfire she is

i da know... i been reading so many downer... dystopian books lately... kinda not into it... i might just walk away from this uncompleted... feel like I want something happy and light for now... got way to much stress going on to deal with "book-drsms"!! haha.

I don't think I can finish this. It's not holding my interest at all, and I really am not connecting with it at all.

So I put it down & I NEVER do that w/any book even if im bored w/ it i push thru, but 4 some reason i just couldnt do it w/this one

I couldnt even finish it. IDK i just couldnt get into it

I don't have a lot of high hopes for this book...

Goin' to bed now. I've had a long and awful day after learning my dad is moving out next week at the physcologist (spelling fail).

this book so far is really good i like all of the characters in there is a really good plot in it
