Not easy read, a wide lens to distant places and varying events in them- most bloody. Thriller politico that requires all of your attention.

I've only just started but I am irritable. Characters are barely described at all physically, which normally wouldn't bother me right at the beginning-- except for having to distinguish between 10 male characters in the first 50 pages by name alone.

Excellent so far. Amazing how this book has flown under the radar. I think I saw this on Keith Rawson's best of 2011 list over at Spinetingler so I picked it up.
