This is just beautifully written.
I really like the integration of details of the daily life in Syria in the late 50's into the narrative.

الكذب والجراد ابناءعمومة,كل شخص يأتي الى هذا العالم ومعه سبع اكاذيب وسبع جرادات,يستحيل على المء ان يعيش كفاية كي يحصي اكاذيب وجراد العالم كله!!! مو ليحصي كذباته بالأول :)

Musa's story was rather confusing with too many convoluted lies.

3 stories done, 4 more to go! Tuma's situation really tugged at me - it's so annoying to not have people believe you when yoh need them to. It's nice how they slyly insert little pockets of info about the Syrian crisis of the time.

Salim observes life in silence.

A story about how Salim the coachman loses his tongue and his 6 friends come to his rescue. I'm getting a real Arabian Night-esque feel from this book, and the first story was already so magical. Loving this book!
