This was such a fun read to finish today. I enjoyed the lightly snowy day that left a dusting and reading by a lovely fire in our kitchen stove with the new fam Larry installed. Though I won’t jump in right away, I plan to pick up the next two books by Kyle Mills featuring the lead FBI Detective Mark Beamon to enjoy. Savoring sabbatical as I plan for our future.

Read most of the day yesterday (to Ch 19) as this book really sucked me in. It’s a fast paced read! Relaxing by the fire & later laying in bed felt good to recuperate after all the travel. This book is due back at the library today so I’m trying to finish. I think Kyle Mills is another new favorite author for me & I really like the main FBI character Mark Beamon. Feeling better & less sad with goodbyes.

Dove right into this fast-paced fiction this Sunday afternoon by a cozy fire in our blue wood stove in the kitchen overlooking the cold sunny winter day out on Lake Decatur after the kids left for the return trip to Spring Lake & Mom left for Freeburg. Savoring the last of the Thanksgiving holiday time & missing everyone, though Stitch & Buzz have been very cuddly with us & happy we are home.

Great story! A few to many characters to keep track of but so far an excellent read.

For a book centered around an FBI agent, there hasn’t been a lot of him mentioned..

After the lackluster beginning it’s great!

Given this book to read by a veteran on D-Day. How could I refuse? Despite the fact that I have four books that I am actively reading and four others I have to read by the end of the month.

That slump from last week is still pulling me down and I feel like something with some action (a Georgette Heyer romance with little to no chemistry isn't going to be able to encourage me to read tonight), so I decided to raid my shelves for something with guns and bombs and bad guys. Looking forward to some kind of horrific terrorist act and lots of death to push me out of this slump for good.

The guy loved talking about physics and chemistry, shouldn't have let the heroin eat his brain though. Told them everything about the distilling process, now he's outlived his usefulness. Lock your door and don't swallow the handkerchief.

"Outsmarted by a coke addict."
That's never a good thing, especially when the addict knows you wanted to kill him, better watch your back, he's more paranoid than you

Kinda disjointed... You know a good book when you don't want to put it down... I just put this one down.

Not a bad book, good concept, seems to be getting lost in the details though

Interesting concept on winning the war on drugs but the story moves too slow. Not enough detail where I want it and too much where I couldn't care less.
