It started off with stuff I already knew, but we are far from there now.

HTML section was clear and well presented, a little out of date though, HTML 5 has been standard for a while now

There is no real conflict in this book, but there are many ways people could interact with the book which may be close to conflict. They may be fighting against themselves to learn how to code, they may be fighting against the darn machine that won't do what they want, or they might be fighting against society saying that the coder is wasting their time to create one of millions of websites that no one will ever see.

This book is plot driven, mainly because there are no characters and no true setting. The "plot" of this book is going through many different tidbits that you use to create websites, and what you can do evolves from what you have learned, much like plots are dependent on past events. The book has a sort of climax, where you finish learning a lot of HTML/CSS tricks, and you make a website. It then slowly sputters out.

I have gotten heavily into the CSS, and now can create a website that looks fairly well, and will soon get to the part of the book that lets me put flash games into the website. I am hoping to create my first website soon, and will then work on the website for games with my friends. I was hoping to have a tumblr style thing wephere you just scroll through a load of games, but all the good names for that are taken.

The only thing in this book that could be considered Dynamic, either a character or a situation, as neither of those truly exist in this book, would be the examples at the end of every chapter. Every end chapter has a example of what can be created with the code it has so far taught you, and it is very interesting to see how you have progressed from just writing something that looks like a book to a photo gallery.

The main genre of this book is nonfiction, with informative for a subgenre. I know thins as it is a manual type book, and is structured in a way that helps teach you how to code... you guessed it, HTML and CSS. The book is structured with main ideas, such as text, adding images, making lists, and then goes into many different ways of how to get these things accomplished in different ways. It is very well structured.

I am on page 132 of this book, and I can now create a basic, boring looking website with text and pictures. I will soon be going into the cuss part of the book, where i will be able to start to make the websites I create look interesting. I am going to create a website with one of my friends, and post flash games that we make onto it. I hope to be finished with this book soon, and find a good novel to read.

Tons of information here at first I thought it was somewhat redundant - especially as it covers outdated html code but it serves a purpose. Really good, easy to comprehend.
