As I’ve read more, his ruthlessness has become clearer and clearer. A very strong emphasis on being feared and dominating your subjects. Just got done reading one of the longer sections on why a ruler should avoid being hated and read through a lot of very interesting history. Heck yeah Machiavelli, thanks for your perspectives.
