Kelly had been undercover. She is in a drug den trying to gain their trust. While reading I thought of how she could make up excuses on the spot.

Kathy is put in jail for assaulting a police officer. She did this to maintain cover and keep a relationship with her suspect.

Kind of slow. I’m determined to read (re-read here) this series.

A question I had while reading was how did Biblianna not notice that Kathey was following her? Eventually Biblianna was kidnapped, and Tate had to shoot the car causing it to crash. Tate had to eventually kill one of the kidnappers because he was shooting at Tate.

While I was reading time went by quickly because I was caught in the book.

The main character has been in a bar following a lead. She meets a old friend from school.

The main character is now trying to get her suspect to like her so she can figure out how to convict her.

The main character flips out on her boss. She then goes looking for leads on her case. She is a private investigator in California. She needs to deal with people who won't listen or cooperate with her. She is getting frustrated.
