Sigh, I do wanna reread this series but not now. I'd prefer to continue my studies of Haiti but my flare up continues with accompanying brain fog.
So back to this series I guess.

I'm enjoying this whole series, but it's hard to imagine the Traders being a threat if they're limited to light-speed communications. I could see them having courier ships jumping around with messages like in the vorkosigan universe, but apparently a multi-day trip isn't particularly long, so that vs instantaneous communications seems like a devastating disadvantage.
