Jackson didn't like Kobe's attitude. He didn't like that he wouldn't play his offense right. Kobe got mad at the press after a game and would talk to them for a long time.

Phil Jackson was a legend -- an individual that had two rings as a player and 6 rings as a coach -- and the players were eager to listen. They listened, but Jackson didn't see the results he wanted and he thought of John Salley. Salley was a pure man, and enforced his thoughts about life on the players. Salley kept them in line.

Jackson wanted Scottie Pippen to join the Lakers when he became their coach. When Pippen was with Jackson's Bulls, he was considered the second best player in the game, but his salary was 122nd in the game. Pippen chose the Blazers, and got beat by the Lakers.

A shorter white Lakers player named Mike Penberthy was stopped by the police when trying to enter the team practice because he was white, and short. Shaq took a tall white rookie named Mark Madsen on a shopping trip. Madsen was very humble, and liked saving money. Madsen had a Toyota mini van, and shaq got him a new Chevy Tahoe.

A coach the Jackson wanted was an expert in the triangle offense, and it was dominate. You have to have a player have some success and some failure for them to be coachable. Only success, and they become cocky, and uncoachable. Only failure,and they become close minded and uncoachable.

They thought they were ready to win another championship even though they weren't. Phil Jackson kept warning them to be serious, and stop playing around. The coaches were frustrated.

Rick Fox was really good and a threat to Kobe getting small forward. they continued to battle it out. Basketball at this time was pulling in insane statistics in the viewership field. People were watching almost every emotion happen in just 48 action packed minutes. All these emotion are experience by everyone, and seeing them from a star right in front of them made them feel like they very similar to them.

Shaq wanted Brian Shaw, because they had been dominant, they were good friends. They needed a replacement for Glen Price, and they looked at Mike Penberthy, who was a pure shooter. The also looked at JR Rider. Kobe wanted small forward, but so did Rick Fox, who was good at it.

There was a lot of trading. There was a lot of emotion. Robert Horry's daughter that had a birth defect the confined her to a wheelchair, and made it so she couldn't eat on the own, had to stay in Hostan where the doctors were familiar, and good. While her father hd to leave his family.

The team need to get the old guys off, and the fresh guys on the court. They had Shaq, and Kobe, but need three other to replace older guys. They decided on Derek Fisher, Isaiah Rider, and Horace Grant.
