Status Updates From Harry Potter and the Method...

Skipped a few unnecessary inclusions. Tiring of first year Potter/Granger/Malfoy wizard battles. Considering abandonment. Still happy about distinct lack of Ron while maintaining strong Fred and George presence.

It sure has gotten intense in the HPMOR universe lately. More intense, that is. There was...a horrible tragedy. Not worried, though, it'll be fixed. Lesson learned, though: episodic fiction is TORTURE. Blah.

Well I'm at 'the end' but it's still being written so that doesn't really mean much. At least the story seems to be getting back to cool plots and stuff rather than the awful attempts at emotional character-driven stuff. At least Asimov etc. knew better than to attempt such drivel.

Enjoying this fanfic so far. Much of the science is beyond my comprehension and wasted but the personality of the characters comes across well despite that.

I have made a grave mistake...

Chapter 89 read!

Surprisingly good after the first few chapters (basically until the plotting starts at Hogwarts), it has levels of plotting not even matched by GRR Martin and I can see why so many people such as David Brin (Uplift War, The Postman) and Eric S. Raymond (famous software engineer) and Aaron Swartz (Reddit founder, RIP) recommended it so much.

still enjoying this, however, needing to get into a larger plot idea in order to not get stale.

The book is still being written but I like it a lot so far. It took me a while to identify with Harry.

I didn't enjoy the paintball/sleep spell wars so much but it got good/great again when looking at the Patronus charm and talking about being a parcelmouth.
