I've reached that part where Harry tries to explain why humans evolved to have bigger brains. Sadly, I don't understand Gregorian Inheritance and I'll have to read up on it if I want to truly grasp what he's trying to say with a keen eye.

So, I am taking a break from this book for now, but I will return to it soon enough. Man I should've paid attention in Biology class in school.

С первых страниц Гарри показался мне человеком рациональным, но нехорошим. Через несколько глав я вздохнула с облегчением: автор в курсе, это намеренно. Автор будет копаться в мозгах и вместе с героем размышлять о причинах поступков. Затем на меня накатила мысль, что на фоне ГГ остальные – лишь жалкие тени. И тут же Гермиона задумывается о том, что хочет рассказать СВОЮ историю.

The premise is interesting, but I'm taking exception to the large departures from canon with characters like Dumbledore, Quirrel, the Malfoys, etc. It's one thing to change the starting circumstances for the title character and see how that changes things. It's another entirely to change the actions and canon history of the other characters. Then it's too different and the exercise is more angering than fun.

Phani Raj is 19% done

I am really loving this. Things which I felt odd in HP series are kinda solved in this. But in no way it is an easy read compared to HP by Rowling. I really loved the Quirrel's characterization. He is pretty cool and understands Harry better than others...not sure if he has any other intentions, but still interesting for now.
