'Hogwarts was literally optimal, not in all the realms of possibility maybe, but certainly on the real planet Earth, it was the Maximum Fun Location.'

This story has me feeling all sorts of ways. There are times when I'm utterly frustrated and then others when I am shocked by its brilliance. Chapter 90 was astonishing and may have been worth the frustration.

'I'm so completely going to be in Ravenclaw, thank you very much. I only want power so I can get books.'

Love the magical trunk - it reminds me of the Luggage from Terry Pratchett's Discworld.

'Professor McGonigal has simply said how peculiar and left it at that, which had put Harry into a state of shock at the sheer, overwhelming uncuriosity of wizards and witches.'

'On the other hand, one competent hedge fundie could probably own the whole wizarding world within one week. Harry filed away this notion in case he ever ran out of money, or had a week free.'

I've been switching back and forth between reading this and listening to the podcast version. The podcast is well done and easy to listen to. It's also nice to know that fans are the ones providing minor character roles.

"I _do_ feel silly. And _here_ I was expecting you might try to redeem the heir of Malfoy by, say, _showing him true friendship and kindness_."
"_Ha!_ Yeah, like _that_ would have worked."
(Ursäkta de konstiga understräcken, jag har inte undersökt än om man kan kursivera text från mobilen. Eller i en statusuppdatering överhuvudtaget.)

This thing is LONG. To be honest, the first ten chapters were pretty rough. It was boring to read big blocks of text about theory and Harry was a pretentious asshole. Now that Harry is actually at Hogwarts, it gotten infinitely better. He's still a psychopath, but now in a more interesting way...if that makes sense?

I suppose humour is a personal preference, but I fail to find the incredibly mild jokes the slightest bit funny, in the face of the sociopathic and psychopathic behaviour of some of the characters. There appears to be very little humanity, and that's awful.

Voglio dire, Harry Potter è insopportabile, per cui è perfettamente canon.

Still ploughing through this incredibly tedious retelling of the amazing Harry Potter universe.

Alright, there is A LOT of conveniently-cunning and well-timed self-realizations in quite a long succession in this chapter...

I haven't enjoyed a book like this in a long time.
And much like Harry's yearmates, every so often, I read a passage and say to myself: WHAT IS HAPPENING?

This book is going amazing, and even though Harry is an asshole, the overall experience is worth it!

Even in the world of comic books, the only reason a superhero like Batman even looks successful is that the comic-book readers only notice when Important Named Characters die, not when the Joker shoots some random nameless bystander to show off his villainy. Batman is a murderer no less than the Joker, for all the lives the Joker took that Batman could've saved by killing him.
