Status Updates From Harry Potter and the Method...

Harry and Malfoy friendship looks promising so far.

Am not too sure I'll actually finish this book. As much as I love the rational twists to the plot, too much of rationalizing can take away fun from anything, as we all know.

It's just too good to be a real book. I wish I could write like that. I really wish I could.

So far... Strange, odd, geeky and weirdly hilarious. Also, "that's the most Ravenclaw thing I've ever heard" is going to be my favorite sentence for a while.

The Smart Harry versus Snape and Dumbledore is easily the most glorious thing to ever happen in the entirety of Harry Potter. I’m telling ya, this fanfic is infinitely better than anything Rowling herself has ever written.

This book will probably take me more than a year to finish with my current speed. Then again, it never fails to lift my spirits when I’m feeling down, so I really don’t mind it being so long.

Somebody needs to punch this Harry in the face, kind of like what Hermione did to Draco in the movie (I believe she just slapped him canonically?) Not that I haven’t thought that multiple times about canon!Harry as well.

I don't want to do anything else until I'm done with this book. Unfortunately I have plenty to do and the book is quite long... :(

I wonder when children sound too mature for their age, it's because the author couldn't actually relate to that age group...
If Harry starts out as more rational than highly intelligent adults and with the same kind of intelligence, then the author's not trying to match intensity from one age to another, but rather just imagining what he'd do at that moment if he were Harry with all his present knowledge and skills.

Just started and already hooked. Looking forward to reading this book.

I haven't picked it up in over a month, but now I'm back at it and making progress! This book is a lot of fun. I love every sarcastic jab at JK Rowling's problematic world building. Yudkowsky clearly loves the world of Harry Potter, but just like me, he can't get over so many baffling and stupid things that plague the books.

This book is hilariously long. Like, I’ve read 5 chapters of decent length already, and my Kindle shows that I’m still at 1%. The good news is that I enjoy the book a lot so far, and already start to feel a little bit better!

I’m currently in a pretty dark place emotionally, so I’m hoping that this supposedly funny and lighthearted book will help me get better. Trying to force the world of Harry Potter to make more sense sounds like a fantastic idea! Let’s see how it goes...
