J. Montana is the artist and pen name of Jeanine Wright. She is a natural artist, receiving an AAS in Art & Advertising Design at a New York City college and moved on to study the Fine Arts at Lehman College. Her interest in writing started at a young age, encouraged by a single mother who emphasized the importance of reading. She read everything from the Bible to classical mythology, from Harlequin romance to S. E. Hinton and Hemingway to Lovecraft. The majority of Jeanine's life was focused on art, as writing took a back seat. While pursuing art she also took an interest in literature classes and creative writing, spending hours producing poetry.
