Samuel A. McAdams anointed himself the 21st Century Absurdist. The fact his writings do not match the traditional absurdist definition matters not to him, for he insists the term “traditional absurdist” is an oxymoron. He stakes his claim to the title because absurd, along with fun, are the most common words used to describe his work. He bolsters his right to the 21st Century Absurdist crown based on denials of writing his novels under the influence of controlled substances, stating his absurdity is 100% natural because he must maintain a boring lifestyle in order to continue donating his highly sought-after O-Negative blood.
