A nice collection of short stories, mostly religious ones. This collection was produced by a Bruderhof owned publishing house, which makes a ton of sense as that sect shares a lot of Tolstoy's communal, anarchist Christian sympathies.

A parade of sketchy grifters appear on a Mississippi steamer to swindle the other passengers. Or do they? Are they even sketchy grifters? Are the even different people? This book was weird. I liked it well enough, but maybe Melville isn't my thing.

Four plays where things just go terribly wrong. Well, except for Alcestis, which has a nice ending. The Bacchae... not so much. And Medea is a reminder to always avoid crazy. Do not marry crazy. Do not cross crazy.
