Let’s face it, a lot of times love doesn’t work out. Yet even when it fails, it connects you to others and, in the end, that is all you have, the connections.
A friend of mine, when overcome with existentialist doubt, says that life, in essence, is just a whole lot of moving things from one place to the other; and often back again. And while true, love somehow goes beyond that. The connections we form anchor us and keep us in the now, in the past, and in the future. They attach us to time. Give our lives meaning. Even when we are lonely.
