This was the only poem in the book that was written to a specific person and it really took an emotional toll to write it out, but it was necessary to forgive the person that I wrote it for.(less)

But when I found that there were so many poems with the theme of love I thought that they needed to be shared with those that mean the most to me. But I thought afterward that wasn't enough and I played around with putting them in a book format and everything took hold and one thing led to another and this book was "born".(less)

Tami Winbush Tami Winbush said: " One of the top three books of the year. Romantic suspense has a new face in town and they better watch out. Such great social causes brought up in this book. Autism, anxiety, PTSD. "

Kahlil Gibran
“When love beckons to you follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning. Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun, So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth......

But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure, Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor, Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears. Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.

Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For love is sufficient unto love. And think not you can direct the course of love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Love has no other desire but to fulfil itself."

But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires: To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own understanding of love; And to bleed willingly and joyfully.”
Kahlil Gibran, Le Prophète

Deborah Harkness
“We don’t lock up books in this house,” Philippe said, “only food, ale, and wine. Reading Herodotus or Aquinas seldom leads to bad behavior.”
Deborah Harkness, Shadow of Night

J.K. Rowling
“Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel it.”
J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Octavia E. Butler
“You don't start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking it's good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it.
That's why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.”
Octavia E. Butler

Deborah Harkness
“Just because something seems impossible doesn’t make it untrue,”
Deborah Harkness, A Discovery of Witches

Harlequin Books Hi Tami, I'm pleased to meet you and look forward to discussing books with you. If you ever have any questions about any of the titles on my shelves or about eHarlequin.com and all it has to offer, please ask. I'll be happy to answer. I’ll also update news when I can for example; did you know that in March Silhouette Desires will be putting out their 2000th book? The authors are celebrating with a special blog on eHarlequin.com :).

Julie Eberhart Painter Tami, I always wanted to be a writer, too. Used to hide my homework -- the dog refused to eat it -- so I could get back to the story I was writing. Finally I achieved the first steps in my goal at the age of 52 and have been writing and publishing ever since. It's a long, sometimes frustrating journey. Gary Provost said, it's a manic/depressive career, and the good news comes by phone or email.

message 1: by Brian

Brian Not a novelist, but a short story writer or a poet.
That was a short lived dream, because I'm that literary person... but it was a nice dream.
