As I am not depending on making my books profitable, I can afford to wait as long as I need. Either I finally get into a "writing mood" or I'll finally figure out what to do next. But sometimes, just opening the book (document) helps.(less)

When you have actually written words, maybe even three or four thousand words a day and the book is pretty much writing itself and you have more of those days. Publishing made easy?

What's better than finishing and publishing a new book? Publishing two books! Or even three books! (Mostly because they were just lying around, crying from inattention and all they really needed was some editing and speller-checks.)

And I have to hand it to Amazon - for all their many faults, they really make it easy. (Not the paperback option, that took me ages to get right and don't get me starte Read more of this blog post »

The first book feels really distant, like something I read ages ago and don't remember... anything, really. Even the sports guys from the "main" series have fallen by the wayside in my memory so I should not have been suprised by the slow start and m ...more
Viki added a status update: GR Challenge 2026, right... I don't know why I can't let it stay empty. I don't want to challenge myself! I read over 200 books for the past X years, I don't want to INCREASE my... body count =D. If anything, it would be a challenge for me to not reach my goal. Maybe I should "get a life", whatever those extroverts mean by that... =D

“Oh, do shut up, Martha. Wearing sensible shoes doesn’t make a woman a feminist or a lesbian any more than wearing that hideous yellow dress makes you a goddamn banana,” Violet snarked, shaking her head. “I swear with women like you, I don’t know why my mother fought so hard to win the right to vote.”
Onley James, Intoxicating
