I write dark fantasy about fallen angels, broken gods, and the quiet violence of love, faith, and survival. I’ve been drawn to gothic worlds since I was a child.

I was born in Azerbaijan and later immigrated to the United States. I live here now with my two sons, husband, mother, and three dogs.

When I’m not writing, I work in construction, read an unreasonable amount of dark fantasy and horror, and obsess over myth, folklore, and the places where monsters and saints blur into one.

My debut novel, Forbidden Sanctuary, is the first book in The Fallen Grace Chronicles, coming out March 15, 2026.

Midnight Bloom

Midnight Bloom Hayden Ellis

The damp earth reeked of rotted leaves and torn flesh. The last hunter slipped from my grasp, dead. His mortal spine snapped with a hollow crunch, echoing through the desolate woods before silence reclaimed the air. Blood coated my hands in thick, cooling streams. The hunger gnawed at the inside of my ribs like a starved hound trapped in a cage of bones, but this agony

Unfortunately I would have to soft DNF this one for now. I am on chapter 17 or 21 % in and it is extremely repetitive with not much plot forward. It is an interesting concept though. Maybe my mind if not ready for it yet. I am looking for something b ...more

This is exactly what I need when my mind needs to be switched off from too much writing or boring reading. It’s sexy, it’s entertaining and it’s refreshing! The ALC was provided by NetGalley and I leave my review voluntarily.
