Reading books, to many, has become a lost art. To those of us who do read avidly, we understand the draw of a good story. We understand how a well written tale makes you part of the book. As a writer of six books to date, I can tell you when I write it has the same affect, but it is greatly multiplied.
That's why I write. I enjoy being in the story, just as I write so my readers can be drawn in, in the same manner. With this as my somewhat selfish goal, I do not write stories to make money. In fact, with the publishing business being what it is today, it's a mind settling goal, allowing me to only worry about what I put to paper.
