Wendy Sparkes lives in the UK and has been a Nursery Nurse for over eighteen years working with children aged three to five. She’s passionate about finding new ways to enthuse and engage young children.

She is also the author of the Stop and Smell the Roses Series. Her books aim to incorporate Christian themes in a simple and straightforward way so that children can understand them and relate to them.

From a child Wendy Sparkes has loved reading and even now that she is all grown up, she still has a book not too far away from her! I love Joni's writing too. She writes so compassionately and always seems to have encouragement for my heart. I agree, she is truly inspiring. How nice that you share acquaintances with her.

Thank you for the friend request. I love that you write children's books!! How fun!!

And thank you for sharing some of your personal info. Often, it's hard for people to understand unless they've gone through something similar. I have a large crazy family and most of the time they try to be supportive and understanding; but sometimes I can sense their frustration with me when one of them will just shake his head and say something like "just turn it all over to God and then pull yourself up by the bootstraps and take the first step". Easier said than done!!

Anyway, glad to have a new friend!!

p.s. - Loved one of your quotes by Joyce Meyer and another by Joni Eareckson Tada. (Joni's a bit older than me, but we grew up in the same area and went to same schools and share some acquaintances. She is truly inspiring!!)
