How do you get inspired to write?

E.A. Cartwright I read scientific articles and the news. Sometimes a story comes up and I think "what would happen if you pushed that to an extreme?" or "what would i…moreI read scientific articles and the news. Sometimes a story comes up and I think "what would happen if you pushed that to an extreme?" or "what would it be like if you twisted that singular detail?" The story that comes out of that usually ends up as either a piece of science fiction or an epic fantasy. Once I have an idea, I write it down in my book idea notebook so I don't forget and can refer to it later.(less)
