A couple of my viewers went so far as to suggest I write a devotional book for teen girls. "Just think - a devotional for teens written by a teen. It'd be a bestseller," my mom urged.
I nodded and said, "I'll try." But my heart wasn't truly into the idea, so when my first attempt fell flat, I was all too ready to push the project away. I wasn't sure I'd ever pick it up again.
However, God clearly had other plans in mind for me.
In March of 2019, I was thrown into a whirlwind of events that left me drained, frustrated, and hurting. I needed time to heal, and cutting the Internet out of my life for over a month seemed to be the best way to do this.
During that time away, I picked up the computer, prayed for God's guidance, and wrote. Slowly but surely, "The Whispers God Gives" developed. God truly led each word penned in this devotional book, and I'm so very thankful.
Now, with the release date drawing near, I can't wait to give other girls the same opportunity I had to experience our Savior's tender, reassuring whispers, whether life be peaceful or hectic. (less)

Ellen Senechal and 1 other person liked Maija Filer's review of Lady Susan:
Lady Susan by Jane Austen
"Lady Susan was short book, and seemed to have a fast paced storyline. It was entertaining to hear the drama unfold, and figure out who was trustworthy and who was not. It was crazy to hear how young Jane Austin was when she wrote this. Although I did" Read more of this review »
A Cowboy for Keeps by Jody Hedlund
"This story had a good general plotline, but overall I did not enjoy this read too much. I found myself rolling my eyes alot at the dialogue, and I thought the characters made alot of nonsensical decisions and that were not relatable to me. It didn't " Read more of this review »

“Clinging to the past is like walking backward down a long road. As long as our backs are turned on what lies ahead, and our eyes are focused on what lies behind, we cannot take full notice of all God has planned for us.”
Ellen Senechal, The Whispers God Gives: A 30-Day Devotional Book for Teen Girls

“If you were dragged into court today and questioned, "Are you a Christian?" you would probably answer, "Yes." But if everyone around you was digging for evidence, what would they find? Would they find enough proof to convict you?”
Ellen Senechal, The Whispers God Gives: A 30-Day Devotional Book for Teen Girls

“Do not let Satan use this mirror to whisper lies into your heart”

“I may not know much, but I know this: You can't save the world, Tyler. You were never created to, and you're gonna fail every time you try. Because only one Person can do that job. And He never fails.”
Sarah Grace Grzy, Never Say Goodbye

“We all have our issues. If we waited until we didn't before doing anything in this life, we'd be dead.”
Sarah Grace Grzy, Never Say Goodbye

“I find it hard to live by faith, and confide entirely in God, when the way is dark before me. But if the way were plain and easy, where would be the room for confidence in God?”
