I hope you read the Identity interview. It's long and you have to read well into it. Dubus talks a lot about being a writer and "teaching" of writing, as well as use of workshops. I think you have a common language. And after reading the New Yorker interview I will be interested in knowing if you have different views of Sand and Fog.
