I'm a big fan. People love throwing Proustian around, but I feel it's actually applicable here. I could also see someone maybe saying "it's a little uneven" or "it's a little excessive at points" or "it drags in places" . . . not me! Bring on the phi ...more

Incrementally quieter and less incendiary than other Houellebecq joints. Which . . . maybe makes me like it ever so slightly less? Because . . . the end point of Western liberalism is actually a desensitized soft landing?
