Barbara is a retired registered nurse, graduated from Borgess School of Nursing in Kalamazoo, MI. She and her husband Terry, have been married 53 years, and have four adult children, who have given them 6 wonderful granddaughters. After raising a family, she returned to college at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she earned a BA in English Literature, a minor in Religious Studies and a certificate in GLBT studies. Writing a work of fiction has always been on her "bucket list" and with the encouragement of her husband and oldest son, she is happy and proud to offer three books to the public. She hopes that teens and young adults will enjoy her works of fiction. She now resides with her husband on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. ...more

Loved this daily inspirational. Rick Warren is a fantastic writer who knows how to get to the core of the spiritual issues that plague us. I used this book for a year every morning.

A new way of looking at academia and the still existing prejudice toward African American women. I really appreciated the Black Feminist view point as well as the detective work.
