Benjamin Jones is a philosophy lecturer from the Black Country, UK. He has spent most of his adult life teaching philosophy (and other subjects) to 16-18 year olds, after failing to take the careers advice that he gives to students on a daily basis. Benjamin studied philosophy at the University of Birmingham and completed his MA in the evenings after work via the Open University.

Before trying his hand at writing, Benjamin's main creative output was music. He spent almost a decade playing bass for the band 35 Seconds (voted band of the decade by local indie magazine Brum Notes - a symbol of his on going low level regional success).
