Edward rated a book liked it
Child of God by Cormac McCarthy

This was a dark one. It’s like McCarthy wanted to write a story about Ed Gein without actually writing about Gein himself. It’s a decent read, very bleak and grotesque, but there’s something about it I didn’t love. 3.5 stars.

King Sorrow by Joe Hill
"Done!! That was 877 pages of awesome! I now have a huge dragon shaped hole in my life, I didnt want it to end! Completely addictive and immersive with some fab jaw-dropping twists and WTFs thrown in! 🔥"
Edward and 6 other people liked M.E. Proctor's review of Dark Neon & Dirt:
Dark Neon & Dirt by Thomas Trang
"A novel of Los Angeles. Thomas Trang’s "Dark Neon & Dirt" is a tip of the hat to Michael Mann’s "Heat", everybody will tell you so—the location, the face-off between the cop and the criminal, the heist …—but it is also something else. I’d call it a l" Read more of this review »
Edward and 1 other person liked Grant Wamack's review of Dark Neon & Dirt:
Dark Neon & Dirt by Thomas Trang
"4.5 stars

Dark Neon & Dirt is my introduction to Thomas Trang's work and it's a fire crime fiction novel. It's a heist novel set in LA--think ex-military asian guy crosses paths with dirty black cop. The narrative moves at a steady pace with gripping " Read more of this review »

Great crime writing

Dark Neon and Dirt is a heist novel with some great writing and good characters. The downside is I wasn't interested in the actual story of the book much. It begins and ends strong but the middle drags and can be downright boring i

“The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. If you can change the way people think. The way they see themselves. The way they see the world. You can change the way people live their lives. That's the only lasting thing you can create.”
