While not all of the humor was my thing it was cover-to-cover jokes, laughter, and all around lighthearted fun. Truthfully, I don’t think I’ve ever read anything that made me laugh or smile even half as much as this book did. I genuinely was giggling and grinning like a schoolgirl basically the entire book, both because it was hilarious and because of their lascivious antics. There were a few moments when I startled myself by snorting!!

I will say that this one leans much more heavily towards the erotica side of romance, more so than her other series, but it was still tasteful and extremely hot and I had zero complaints about how spicy things got. I really love the way she wrote about things that a lot consider un-sexy in sexy ways, like the ironing thing *eyebrow waggle* haha. Again some of the smexy aspects weren’t my cup of tea but they didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story at all. Lily is one of the few authors I love who can write about anything and I would enjoy it. Her character development is in a class of its own and it makes her storytelling that much more compelling and difficult to put down. (And there were a LOT of incredible side characters that I can't wait to get to know more in future books!)

I am trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, but I wanted to say that the multiple almost-confessions made my heart feel like it was going to burst! It was SO damn cute! I was so enamored with Holt’s character and the way he was just truly obsessed with Taylor (and the way that Taylor didn’t get it, he was “just an average dude” after all, but also didn’t spend the entire book slamming himself or pushing back; he accepted that maybe Holt just had interesting tastes and he was going to enjoy the ride while he could). They were both nauseatingly cute (positive) with each other which was part of the reason I could not stop smiling.

While this is different than her other books I hope that people still give it a chance and give themselves a chance to enjoy something carefree and fun. It’s the kind of book that isn’t meant to be taken seriously, and in my opinion, it was a reflection that love and life shouldn’t be taken too seriously too. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and be a little childish to be truly happy. ♥️ ...more "
