Triple B. is the pen name of a Bangkok-based author whose novel, Whispers of the Ganga, was written with a heart already belonging to India.
A woman who has spent years living between cultures, languages, and worlds, she came to Indian literature through dreams, through sadhus, through a package of Ganga Jal that arrived unexpectedly and now rests at Ganesha's altar. She wrote 70,000 words about the most sacred river in human memory.
Her writing explores the space where myth and memory blur, where the sacred and the sceptical coexist, and where ordinary people find themselves standing at the edge of something ancient and unnamed.
She is also a watercolour painter, a music composer, and a translator of worlds — not just languages.

Seriously? There is only one review before me?

I read this book many years ago, yet it's still circling round my head, one way or the other. There is something hauntingly persistent about the way Haruthai Buakhiao captures the subcontinent.
