“There is a legend about a bird which sings just once in its life, more sweetly than any other creature on the face of the earth. From the moment it leaves the nest it searches for a thorn tree, and does not rest until it has found one. Then, singing among the savage branches, it impales itself upon the longest, sharpest spine. And, dying, it rises above its own agony to outcarol the lark and the nightingale. One superlative song, existence the price. But the whole world stills to listen, and God in His heaven smiles. For the best is only bought at the cost of great pain… Or so says the legend.”

I cannot wait to receive the proof of my latest novel, "Le Point de non retour"!. The ebook version of it is available on Amazon. Soon the hardcover version will be available. This is a tale of Louis and Marie Hebert who were believed to be the first family to settle and sucessfully farm the land in the New World. It explains all they had to work for to reach their dreams of living in New France. I had so much fun researching it and writing it. It was especially interesting since I came across them in my own geneology research and found a whole group of people waiting to be written about. Peole who had ventured over to the New World before the Pilgrims. Very exciting indeed! :
I just published my latest book on Kindle to see where it would go! Wish me luck! It is a staory of two remarkable pioneers who left the comforts of France with their family in 1617 to brave the silds of Canada with their children. A feat unheard of before them. This tale relates all of their adventures that enabled them to reach their life long goal of settling across the seas to New France. It is called, "The Point of No Return" ("Le Point de non retour") and here is the link on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005IHWDUU Let me know what you think. :)
I am almost completely finished with my latest novel. I am just working on the edits. The question is...Should I hold out for a good publisher? Or should I publish myself? I am thinking seriously on the ebook route. I had a publisher for my first two novels and I was not impressed with them at all. I put alot of time and effort into all of them with oodles of research to boot. Just like everyone else who wants a paycheck at the end of the week-that would be nice. Not too impressed with the way the traditional bookstores are faring-should I put my trust in them? Weighing the options and observing carefully where the trends in reading are..Any input on this dilema would be more than appreciated :) Thanks all
