A few months ago a friend of mine has mentioned Jordan Peterson in our conversation about psychology. I was very curious to see what he was like, as I have a degree in psychology myself. First of all, I love his confidence and how much he can stand to his point of view and argument it. Nowadays, we have so many rules that actually do not give us any freedom of speech at all, you MUST really think of what you are about to say. Is that freedom at all? Mr Peterson has some guts to express his opinion and this is what is most important, because he only tells you what he knows and yet open to criticism. But enough of my intro.

The book itself indeed might feel of somewhat of a "common sense. However, I discovered many new things to myself, angles of a problem that I previously did not see/acknowledge. I've reached another level of understanding humans, the way we act and namely WHY we need rules and what can be a possible outcome. I love the way he brings Genesis, philosophy, evolution - he simply demonstrates a particular problem from many different angles and its your choice which side of this suits you best. I admire his passion for knowledge, for seeing things and ability to put into simple words. Myself, I'm not a big fan of reading and always found it hard to comprehend anything that has a philosophical aspect/language to it. But he made it so simple, that gave me so many insights.

I hope my review gave you a bit of a "taste" of this book. Those who feel deep, think deep will find this book very insightful. Any denial - is a limitation and simply tells you about your own insecurity. There are not so many "new" things, everything has been learnt already: Bible, Ancient Greece philosophers, German philosophers etc But we are living a different world and same problems acquire new angles. Mr Peterson has done an outstanding job connecting all these lines, making connections the old world and new one, XXI century. ...more "
