Hi Marcia! Thank you for adding this fellow author into your circle of friends here on Goodreads. I hope you'll add my novels including the cozy mysteries (What Would Nancy Do?, Lethal Prescription), In the Company of Women, The Christmas to Remember and Finding Normal to your to-read list. I look forward to reading your book reviews and recommendations. Happy reading!

Nell, your wonderful book made my month! What a pleasure it is to discover an author whose books I truly anticipate reading. May you remain prolific, for many years to come.

A super review, Marcia - thanks so much! And perhaps we'll walk with Spike along a path or two of Mattie's adventure one day.
Nell wrote: "Hello Marcia, thanks for the lovely rating for Solitary Pleasures, so glad you enjoyed it."Truly my pleasure, Nell! I am composing a review, but want to make certain I do your book justice! Your writing inspires me, my dear. Would love to visit your neck of the woods, the next time I'm in the UK (may it be soon.)
I really enjoyed it, Marcia, and it's made me want to read more about her. It's odd that there are no descriptions of her actual physical appearance - only her bearing. That could suggest that she was neither beautiful nor ugly. Certain documentary evidence seems to raise questions that seem to have plausible answers - depending on how one's mind works. I can see how writers interpreted her words, motives and actions in ways so different from each other.
Nell, thank you so much for posting your finely crafted, concise review of Joan of Arc: The Mystic Legacy

Finished Joan of Arc: The Mystic Legacy - a fascinating read - I've left you a review.

They're only available on Kindle. I have an opf file I could send you - good for Mobi, but I'm not sure what sort of file is needed for Nook.
I've studied Kabbalah too, but not in any great depth. I must look look up Jeanne d'Arc and the Exiled Shechinah - it sounds fascinating.
Nell wrote: "Marcia, I'm touched and flattered by your words - I've noticed a tarot book among your favorites too - perhaps we're kindred spirits. Nell, studying the Tarot and Tree of Life many years ago led to a deeper interest and many years of reading books on Kabbalah (Kabbala, Qabala, it's spelled many different ways.) Published a very esoteric paper, "Jeanne d'Arc and the Exiled Shechinah" that found its way into many websites, including Rav Berg's, which I very much appreciated. I love spending time in the UK and just canceled my plans to be there in May, due to prioritizing the book launch now, in 2012, the 600th anniversary of Joan of Arc's birth. A novel set in Wales would be "just right" for this moment!
I'd love to suggest you read [book:My Imaginary Life|1311074..."

Any chance these might be available in Epub format or PDF? I don't own a Kindle but have Nook Color eReader.
Marcia, I'm touched and flattered by your words - I've noticed a tarot book among your favorites too - perhaps we're kindred spirits. I'd love to suggest you read My Imaginary Life, which is about a woman's obsession with a poet. There are some explicit passages but these were not written to be erotic - I believe they're essential to show the nature of the relationship. If you'd prefer something that covers a wider range of writing, Solstice is a collection of twelve short stories, some with a slightly pagan/witchy flavour.
Hello Nell,After taking a look at your profile page, enjoying your direct quotes, noticing your reading preferences and comments I thought, "I want to be this woman's friend." Thank you for leaving this note for me. Lovely to meet you.
Now that I have time to enjoy reading novels again, which of your books would you suggest that I begin with?
Thanks for the friendship, Marcia. Joan of Arc: The Mystic Legacy looks very appealing and just the sort of book I enjoy. I've added it to my TBR shelf. Have a lovely evening. Nell
