Kissing Frogs in Cyberspace

THE CROWN CONSPIRACY
They killed the king. They pinned it on two men. They chose poorly.
There's no ancient evil to defeat, no orphan destined for greatness, just two guys in the wrong place at the wrong time...Royce Melborn, a skilled thief, and his mercenary partner, Hadrian Blackwater make a profitable living carrying out dangerous assignments for conspiring nobles until they become the unwitting scapegoats in a plot to murder the king. Sentenced to death, they have only one way out...and so begins this epic tale of treachery and adventure, sword fighting and magic, myth and legend.
AVEMPARTHA
The secret is in the tower. The problem is the beast. The answer is two thieves
When a destitute young woman hires two thieves to help save her remote village from nocturnal attacks, they are drawn into the schemes of the wizard Esrahaddon. While Royce struggles to breech the secrets of an ancient elven tower, Hadrian attempts to rally the villagers to defend themselves against the unseen killer. What begins with the simple theft of a sword places the two thieves at the center of a firestorm--that could change the future of Elan.
NYPHRON RISING
A puppet is crowned. The true heir remains hidden. A rogue's secret could change everything.
War has come to Melengar. To save her kingdom, Princess Arista runs a desperate gamble when she defies her brother and hires Royce and Hadrian for a dangerous mission. As the power of the Nyphron Empire grows, so does Royce's suspicion that the wizard Esrahaddon is using the thieves as pawns in his own game. To find the truth, he must unravel the secret of Hadrian's past...what he discovers could change the future for all of Elan.
THE EMERALD STORM (April 2010)
A message is intercepted. A sinister plan has been launched. Two thieves stand in the way.
Ex-mercenary Hadrian Blackwater sets a course on a high seas adventure to find the true heir of Novron but finds himself traveling to a past he hoped to leave behind forever. Royce Melborn knows all too well the folly of challenging the cunning and ruthless Merrick Marius who stands in Hadrian's way and joins his ex-partner for one last mission.
Meanwhile Princess Arista sets off on her own quest to find the heir which leads her into the very heart of the newly formed Novronian Empire which is battling external assaults while trying to hold control over their own half-mad puppet heir.

Education, Edukation, Edukashun, the most hilarious, entertaining and enlightening account of modern British education you are ever likely to read.
This fast paced story leads the reader along the litter strewn corridors of Gruffydd ap Cynan Comprehensive School, where Dave Falconer, a disillusioned and undervalued teacher battles with inadequate resources, disaffected pupils and colleagues crazy enough to be certified.
Written with verve and acerbic wit it relates the amusing consequences of teaching young, inexperienced and hormonally rampant teens the value of sex education, the devastating repercussions of a too liberal attitude to work experience and the disastrous consequences of holding an end of year prom in a luxurious hotel for one hundred and sixty excited and intoxicated teenagers.
Education, Edukation, Edukashun is simply not to be missed. It will have all who’ve experienced the stifling mediocrity of the state education system cheering to the last page.

It's a Teacher's Life! A Collection of Poems set in a Girls' Private School
An amusing, ironic collection of anecdotal poems about the ups and downs of being a high school/secondary school teacher.
Family and More - Enemies or Friends?
A poetic memoir showing that every encounter we have in life can be a force for good and, if we see with the heart, our man-made differences will seem both absurd and insignificant. A celebration of our common humanity! An ebook at present. Will be published as a paperback in 2010.

I currently have six titles available.

Returning is the tale of an alien, exiled to Earth, trying initially to survive, and then to find a way to return to his own kind. In the process he learns as much about himself as he does about human kind. The nature of the alien provides an opportunity for the reader to look at our world and ourselves from an external and unprejudiced perspective.

[Finalist, Best Adult Novel, Sir Julius Vogel Awards 2009:]
Cast out into the nothingness of space and abandoned to their fate, simply surviving would take everything they had, and make them all more than they had ever been. Only in the fullness of time do they understand that forgiveness is their only revenge, and a terrible revenge it turns out to be.

[Finalist, Best Adult Novel, Sir Julius Vogel Awards 2009:]
Juliet went looking for a man - a dead man. Her search for him, and the answers she hoped he could give her, took her to the furthest reaches of the planet. What she found was both magnificent and terrible. What she had to decide cut across all that she was and all that she believed in. Set in Namibia, Antithesis is intended to hold up a mirror to our species, and the growing dilemma we face as we become more conscious of our place in the cosmos.

Although there is a rather strong romantic element, Raw Spirit is in essence a crime mystery underpinned by a Science Fiction foundation. The principal characters, constrained by their connection to a murder investigation, become involved in another, more esoteric investigation of their own.

Deep cynicism born of a lifetime of journalism did nothing to prepare Don for the reality he had to face or the choices he had to make. Confronted with the unanswerable, he had to decide which reality could undo the harm done, and which would cost him all that he held dear.
The plot follows two overlapping investigations, one involving missing persons and the other drugs, while an integrated sub-plot examines a popular belief and tries to make some ‘hypothetical’ sense of it.

Katherine went looking for a serial killer. What she found was both the end and the beginning of her life, and a reality that spanned both. Set among past truths and present myths, the questions posed will engage the mind well beyond the last page.
This book is a murder/mystery with a touch of romance. Set in the English Midlands, the plot involves the investigation of a series of bizarre serial killings and centres around a consultant psychologist retained to profile the murderer.

Beyond My Control provides an honest, emotional look into epilepsy, a highly complex and often misunderstood condition and how (with perseverance) helped me break through the darkness to find hope on the other side. No, its' not too deep, I have infused humour throughout this often harrowing tale.
