Ajax Minor was born in Danbury, CT on September 11, 1950. He ‘prepped’ at Danbury High School and received an A.B. from Princeton in 1972. After graduation he moved to New York City and began a career as a bond trader. He and his wife, Linda, lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn for twenty years, and spent another twenty in Denver, CO where their daughter, Katherine, was born, and died. Presently, they reside in Monterey, CA.

Ajax Minor began writing after the death of Katherine. Her passing, and her life, served as the inspiration for the ‘Ur Legend’ series of fantasies, of which Sun Valley, Moon Mountains is the first of three books. Ajax Minor no real answer. i don't get block. i usually map out a work with signposts. when i sit down to write i know where i'm starting and where i'm going, bu…moreno real answer. i don't get block. i usually map out a work with signposts. when i sit down to write i know where i'm starting and where i'm going, but don't have a clue how i'm going to get there. the stuff just flows out of my head, through my fountain pen and onto the paper; which is why editing is so important. i just GO. oh, yes, i use a fountain pen. i'm a terrible typist; good enough only for editing. and the fountain pen is easy on the hands.
sometimes i don't like where the story is going, so i may stop for a week or a month and then, when i've rerouted, i start my engines.(less)

Ajax Minor well, i'd like to talk about the WORST thing. writing, and maybe particularly the novel which is my favorite form of expression, is the lonliest art f…morewell, i'd like to talk about the WORST thing. writing, and maybe particularly the novel which is my favorite form of expression, is the lonliest art form. let's say you paint. a friend drops by an comments on one of your watercolors. you pour them (plural pronoun now acceptable; i've always preferred it) a glass ofwine and spend 20 minutes showing them your oeuvre.what do you when you tell them you write--novels. hand them 400 pages of text. boy, they can't wait to dive into that pile of paper!(less)

Loss: the Paranormal

I like to tell stories. That, of course, must be obvious from my website, which has links to my three novels as well as Short Stories, Poems and Blogs, which are really essays.

So I have three incidents to relate to you. I suppose this is technically an essay, since it is a Blog post. However, the unusual nature of one or more of my experiences may become the basis for fiction.
